Research Integrity and Ethics for AHSS Postdocs

This interactive, case study driven, session aims to equip postdocs with an understanding of Cambridge’s expectations for research integrity, explore the challenges that researchers might face when seeking to maintain the highest standards and discuss how these might be overcome.

This interactive, case study driven, session aims to equip postdocs with an understanding of Cambridge’s expectations for research integrity, explore the challenges that researchers might face when seeking to maintain the highest standards and discuss how these might be overcome.

The session will:
- explore the issue of research misconduct in academia and facilitate discussion of why and how it occurs
- explain the Cambridge’s expectations for research integrity and examine how this effects researchers
- discuss some of the challenges to the integrity of research and ask what individuals, groups and institutions can do to tackle them
- introduce the University’s research ethics system use case studies and discussion exercises to examine key issues
The session will be delivered by Dr Rhys Morgan, Research Governance and Integrity Officer of the Research Strategy Office.
