Join Cambridge Enterprise and EPOC to watch the finalists pitching their business ideas to a panel of judges as part of an audience that includes postdocs, senior University members, mentors and investors.

Winners will be announced and prizes awarded, with a first prize of £20k investment.

The prize-giving will be followed by a networking reception and refreshments.

Speakers include:

  • Ed Newton-Rex, Founder of Jukedeck
  • Richard Bowman, Founder of Waterscope and previous competition entrant

The competition offers the chance for University postdocs to win early stage funding for their business ideas.

Finalists received support to improve their plans, including high-level mentoring from Cambridge Enterprise’s network, pitching training and a workshop for guidance on IP issues.

Last year’s finalists were so outstanding that the judges chose two first prize winners, each receiving £20,000 investment. They were CamGaN Devices, created by Dr Giorgia Longobardiand and Netwookie, created by Dr Max Bock.

Sponsors of this event include Marks and Clerk, Parkwalk Advisors, Cambridge Innovation Capital and Barclays Eagle Labs. The competition is run collaboratively between Cambridge Enterprise and the Entrepreneurial Postdocs of Cambridge.

This event is free to attend but please register here.
