Professor Andrew Thompson, AHRC Chief Executive and RCUK Chief Executive Champion for GCRF (Global Challenges Research Fund) will visit the University on 15 December 2017. 

He will give a talk on GCRF open to everyone which will include:

  • An overview of the strategy and vision for international development research, particularly GCRF 
  • An overview of current activities and opportunities with a focus on the multidisciplinary challenge approach
  • A particular focus on the role and contributions of arts and humanities research across these different challenges

The presentation will be held in the Lecture Room 9, on the first floor of the Mill Lane Lecture Rooms, from 2 to 3pm. The session will be chaired by Professor Martin Millet, Head of the School of Arts & Humanities.
