Career Development

The University of Cambridge is signed up to the UK Concordat to Support the Career Development of Researchers – an agreement between funders and employers to support research careers. There is a range of different support around the University to help you develop your career within or outside of academia.

It is never too early to make contact with the Careers Service and Researcher Development Programme, and start thinking about how you can make the most of your postdoc here as an important step in your career.

The following pages provide details of what they can offer postdocs, as well as the development initiatives and resources available through the OPdA and around the University.

Have a look at our Postdoc Calendar to find upcoming career development events around the University and beyond.
