University launches Rental Deposit Loan Scheme

last modified Nov 08, 2018 11:32 AM
To improve support to staff and assist both recruitment and retention, the University has introduced a new rental deposit loan scheme for all current and prospective members of staff.

The University recognises that finding the deposit for a rental property presents a considerable burden for staff moving to Cambridge.

Therefore, to improve support to staff and assist both recruitment and retention in the University, a new rental deposit loan scheme for all current and prospective members of staff has been introduced.

The scheme offers an interest-free loan, up to the value of £3,000, which members of staff can use toward meeting the cost of fees and deposits associated with moving into privately rented accommodation.

The loan will be administered by the Reward Team in the HR Division. Loan payments will be repayable through monthly payroll deductions over 10 months.

For further information on the scheme, including the scheme rules and eligibility criteria, please see the HR website.

If you have any questions about the scheme, please contact Paul Wales, Reward Manager, at hrrentalloan@admin.cam.ac.uk
