  • Clifford Allbutt Building, Cambridge Biomedical Campus, Hills Road, Cambridge, CB2 0AH

 

Building Access

  • Seminar Room, Committee Room & Newman Library; Access to the meeting rooms is available to event organisers for the duration of their event by NHS Access Card following an online Health & Safety induction.
  • Hot-desking space; Regular and out-of-hours access to the Postdoc Centre is available to Postdocs by NHS access card following an online Health & Safety induction.
  • Upon completion of the Health & Safety induction your NHS Access Card can be programmed at Clifford Allbutt Building reception during normal working hours. If you do not have an NHS Access Card an access only card can be provided.
  • The Clifford Allbutt Building reception team cannot to provide access to the centre to event attendees or other visitors. If you are hosting an event it is your responsibility to greet attendees in the reception area and provide access to the centre.

 

Health and Safety Induction

  • Health and Safety inductions for the Postdoc Centre @ Biomedical Campus are web-based and take approximately 10 minutes to complete.
  • Email contact.opda@admin.cam.ac.uk to arrange, giving your name, department and CRSid.
  • Following confirmation by the OPdA, NHS cards can be programmed or access-only cards can be collected at Clifford Allbutt Building Reception (usually next working day).

 

Information for Event Hosts

  • You are required to complete the online Health and Safety Induction before your room booking request can be accepted.
  • The doors are set to lock automatically and for security reasons must not be propped open.
  • You must advise the Clifford Allbutt Building Reception of any catering arrangements and special access requirements by email @ .
  • It is your responsibility to configure the room layout prior to your event, and to tidy and return the room to its original layout following your event.

 

Disabled Access

  • Elevator access – requires access card. Please notify Clifford Allbutt Building reception in advance if assistance is required @ / 01223 (7)62299.

 

Parking

  • Disabled parking free of charge – please prearrange directly with Clifford Allbutt Building reception @ / 01223 (7)62299.
  • Pay & Display Parking is available at the Biomedical Campus. The closest car park to the Clifford Allbutt Building is Addenbrooke’s Hospital Car Park 1.
  • The OPdA is unable to reserve parking spaces.
