Royal Society Athena Prize for increasing gender diversity in mathematics - Runner up Professor Valerie Gibson

We would like to congratulate Professor Valerie Gibson, who is one of five runners up of the inaugural Royal Society Athena Swan Prize for increasing gender diversity in mathematics, for her impact on the culture at the Cavendish Lab in Cambridge and at CERN in becoming more accepting of life beyond work and in the introduction of a child policy.
