Postdoc Academy

 

We are looking to appoint a Finance and Operations Manager to lead on the financial, centres, and people operations of our small and dynamic department.

The role will make a vital contribution to delivering an excellent, efficient service to the University's community of 4000+ postdocs.

The Finance and Operations Manager will be part of the Postdoc Academy's management team and report to the Deputy Head.

The role has three key elements:

  • managing all aspects of the departmental finances, including planning, budgeting, processing and provision of reporting
  • leading on Human Resources functions, including recruitment processes, staff reviews, and support to the management team
  • line management of the senior coordinators of the centres and projects teams, working with them to maintain policies on the usage of the postdoc centres, equipment, and maintenance contracts, including health and safety.

It would suit a person with energy, drive, great attention to detail and a passion for the postdoc community. As with other roles in the Postdoc Academy, the work is varied and each day can look different.
